Our Ranking Methodology

Our process involves collecting a list of about 24,000 companies nationwide and analyzing their online presence. We extract their highlights and lowlights using machine learning and natural language processing. Using this information, we score each company based on a combination of review criteria, including:

• Experience: The company should have evidence of experience in its industry, and should employ quality contractors.
• Service area: Whether or not the company services your city, as well as how many areas in the city it services. Companies with a larger service area score higher.
• Customer experience: We take a look at each company's customer reviews to determine how satisfied customers are with the company's service and products.
• Accreditation: Companies with proper licensing and knowledgeable professionals rank higher.
• Pros and cons: We sort the above factors into pros and cons for the company, such as roofing materials available, customer satisfaction and reviews, and cost, and weigh the score based on those.

Then, we map companies based on service area and show the most relevant providers in your area based on each company's distance from you and its overall scores.
