Eternity Flooring is a buzzed-about name in the flooring market thanks to the many laminate flooring collections it offers. But how does the durability of Eternity Flooring compare to those offered by more expensive or older popular industry brands?

We know that modern laminate floors have significantly improved since the days of nightmarish laminate flooring in the 90s. However, this type of hardwood alternative typically comes at a high price. Eternity Flooring is one of the brands that offers affordable laminate floor options, so if you’re seriously considering laminate Eternity Floors, this review could help you decide if this flooring is right for you.

Overviewof Eternity Flooring

Eternity Flooring U.S.A is a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of quality flooring. The company, which is headquartered in Pacoima, California, has been around since 2006.

Today, the company may be small (with fewer than 200 employees), but Eternity Flooring has launched several easy-to-install laminate floor collections, including:

    • Barnwood: Rustic with lighter wood colors (Country Walnut, Country Cedar and Country Maple), Barnwood laminate planks are rated AC4 and feature V-Groove edges. They’re available in 7.5-inch widths and varying lengths from 24-inches, 48-inches, and 72-inches.
    • Frontier: A collection of Eternity laminate flooring with darker wood colors in Walnut Harrington, Smoked Almond, Whiskey Sapele and Harvest Gold colors, Frontier planks have bevelled edges and come in 5-inch widths and 48-inch lengths.
    • Prestige: Eternity’s most realistic looking laminate collection, Prestige comes in Twilight Hickory, Nightfall Hickory, Midnight Hickory, Sunset Hickory, and Dark Wenge. These planks are designed with pressed edges and 6.5-inch widths.
    • Cabana: Tropical-themed wood laminate options give the vibe of beach resorts. Available in four styles (Havana, Rio, Ibiza and Sand Dollar), this collection is designed with pressed edge and 7 ⅝-inch widths.
    • Quality: Eternity took some inspiration from the Barnwood and Frontier collections to create the Quality collection, which consists of the rustic weathered wood look of Ginger, Sage, Cayenne and Saffron (but a lighter version). They’re available in 47-inches long and 7-inches wide.
    • Timeless: The two shades (Van Gogh and Picasso) are definitely timeless enough to complete one collection. They’re available in 7 ½-inch wide planks with varying lengths.
    • Manhattan: Like Timeless, the Manhattan collection only has two styles (in Golden Ash and French Gray) and has similar sizes available. The difference of Manhattan is that the planks are designed with micro-bevelled edges and equipped with Eternity’s patented moisture-resistant wax called Triple Moisture Tech.
    • Metro: This modern collection is available in six colors, including Cathedral Gray, Latte, Java, and Chestnut. You can find them in 12.3mm-thick, 6 ½-inch widths and 48-inch lengths with pressed edges and wax protection.
    • Forever: If you’re looking for eco-friendly laminate floors, Eternity has the Forever collection which not only boasts a vintage look but are made with V-Groove technology and modern wider measurements (48 inches long and 7 ⅝-inch wide).
    • Exotic: Available in Rustic Olive, Rosewood and Brazilian Cherry styles, these 6 ½-inch wide laminate floors offer a rainforest theme.

Eternity Flooring also has two popular collections that feature patent technology/design that is also found on other collections. These include:

    • Triple Moisture Collection: Six different colored planks are uniquely treated with wax to reach a commercial-grade rating and give these laminate floors 10x durability. They can be bought with either pressed or V-Groove edges in 48-inch lengths and either 5 ⅝-inch or 6 ½-inch widths.
    • V-Groove Collection: This actually refers to two Eternity Flooring collections: 12.3mm V-Groove (available in 7 color and style variations) and 8.2mm V-Groove (available in a single style, but in 2 different widths at 5 ⅝-inch and 5 9/16-inch).

What’s The Installation Process of Eternity Flooring?

Installing Eternity Floors is similar to any laminate flooring installations. You’ll need some basic tools and to follow the procedures provided by Eternity Flooring.

Before doing any work, you have to acclimate your Eternity flooring boards for at least 48 hours in the room where you’ll be installing them. You also need to prep the subfloor and measure the area before installing your new flooring.

If you wish to achieve a natural wood look, take planks from several cartons to mix up the grains. Remove the tongues on the panels and begin laying the first board in the corner of your room. Insert a spacer between the plank and wall, then attach a second panel, placing the tongue of the second to the groove of the first panel. Continue laying the boards until you’ve finished the entire space.

What’s The Care And Maintenance of Eternity Flooring?

Taking care of laminate flooring is easier than engineered wood or hardwood. Quickly cleaning your laminate floors involves sweeping, dusting, or vacuuming (using a hard floor vacuum). There is no need to invest in expensive floor cleaners or polishing products.

If you need to spot-clean, you can use any laminate floor cleaner with a microfiber mop or terry cloth. Avoid using steam mops, chemical-based cleaners, oil-based detergents, waxes, and other harsh products on your laminate.

For spills, paints, inks, oils or other serious stains, an acetone-based nail polish remover on a damp cloth is a better fix. Don’t let water soak on the floors since it would void your warranty.

All Eternity laminate flooring products are backed with a manufacturer’s warranty.

    • AC3 (residential) laminate floors are protected for 25 years
    • AV4 (commercial grade) and Triple Moisture collections are backed with a 50-year residential warranty and a 5-year commercial warranty

All Eternity Flooring limited warranties protect users from manufacturing defects, such as facing, staining or wearing out.

So, Is Eternity Flooring Right For Your Home?

Eternity flooring is ideal for do-it-yourself homeowners looking for a more affordable laminate floor brand. The company has over 50 options of colors, styles and sizes that it is impossible not to find something you like. However, Eternity laminate floors can’t compete with other more popular brands like Mohawk, Shaw, or Pergo in terms of the technologies used and years in the business.

In the end, your choice may boil down to pricing, and Eternity Flooring offers an affordability that none of the other popular brands can provide.
